About the Role
Position Overview
The Parts Consultant at ZMG Isuzu Dealership is responsible for providing accurate and efficient parts support to customers, service advisors, and workshop technicians. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and effective inventory management to ensure seamless dealership operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Sales
• Assist walk-in customers, service advisors, and workshop technicians with their parts requirements.
• Provide expert advice on Isuzu parts, accessories, and pricing.
• Process customer orders, invoices, and payments accurately.
• Promote and upsell genuine Isuzu parts and accessories to maximize dealership revenue.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently.
2. Parts Ordering & Inventory Management
• Identify and order the correct parts using Isuzu’s Dealership Management System (DMS).
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure high-demand parts are available.
• Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse to ensure timely part deliveries.
• Perform stock-taking and cycle counts to minimize shortages and overstocking.
• Assist in warranty and recall parts processing.
3. Collaboration with Service & Workshop Teams
• Work closely with the service department to provide parts for scheduled repairs.
• Ensure technicians receive the correct parts on time to minimize service delays.
• Maintain accurate documentation of parts issued to the workshop.
4. Documentation & Compliance
• Accurately record part numbers, stock levels, and customer transactions.
• Ensure compliance with ZMG Isuzu Dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Minimum of a Diploma; additional training in customer service is advantageous.
• 2+ years of work experience as a Parts Consultant is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and dealership systems.
• Proficiency in computer systems.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
